Wheel problem

I was doing the Borrowdale bash the other week, and my meta took a large impact resulting in a good sized dint in my rear sunringle e27 rim the wheel wasnt buckled so i took it into work and got the dint in the rim knocked out. Now i can feel play in the wheel when its on the frame (cant feel any wobbles or buckles when riding the bike just when i wobble the wheel to check for play) and i dont think it was there before the impact, its not significant though its on my mind all the time as its not perfect. Any ideas whats causing the play? all the spokes are tight and there is no movement in the scewers.

had the bike since november can the bearings fail under loading? will have a look at the axel cheers0

think its a shimano deore of some sort, yeh very large impact new as soon as the tube went bang that the damage wasnt going to be minimal. Will stip and clean the lot this week see whats what, i fear this will result in buying a new wheel. I seemed to be able to wreck a bike with ease!!! :-(0

Could be that they just need adjusting - but my instincts say the axle has gone.0
