I currently run these on my xc rig, will removing them make a noticeable difference?
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

To the weight you mean? You won't really know 'til you take 'em off! I suppose it depends on how light your wheels/tyres are now, if they're fairly heavy then I doubt it, but if they are dead light (which given your apparent penchant for buying expensive/shiny things semes likely!) thenit will be more noticeable. No you use pre filled ones or DIY? The pre filled tubes use a fairly heavy inner tube before the stuff even goes in.

Yeah they are pre filled, hmm im just thinking the easier i make my riding the more inclined i will be to nip out, same thing happened the faster/lighter i became a while back, i couldn't stay off the flaming thing.

A trip to the lbs is in order methinks.

A penchant for shiny things lol that's me, i have a real carbon fibre fettish lately, i love the stuff. :D

Too much expense/hassle ive heard too many hit n miss stories to risk making the jump besides now isn't the right time, plus i have intense tyres, ive heard that they soak up stans sealant.

The mechanic in my LBS says he's getting a sample of a Slime rival product that is meant to seal holes made by screwdrivers almost instantly, with a view to buying some if it's any good. I will let you know what it is and how well it works when he gets it in!

get the liners they weigh a lot less and work better ie slime liners i had for 6 moths no punctures with continental gravity tyres (way to thin!!!)
