What handle bars

I have Easton monkey lite XC handle bars they seem pretty wide compared to my old bontrager race lite bars can this affect my steering badly as i have just been to Glyncorrg and was riding like a lunatic. i couldnt seem to steer out of bends as quick as i use to beable to or am i just imangining it because they are new!

    I think it's possibly you!

    Wider bars make the steering quicker - a longer bar gives you more leverage, so you don't have to put as much effort into changing direction.

    Easton monkey bars are known for being too wide, saw off an inch each side and you'll be fine.
    The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

    Sure is common to cut down the bars to suit yourself.

    Cut it clean so put a new blade on a large Hacksaw and dont cut
    with the small junior type!!

    Depends who you are.... on my 22" Giant they're superb and look the part.... I am 6'7 however ;)

    I've had no problems with mine, although they took a couple of rides to get used to... but they would as the stock Giant XC bar was too flat and narrow for my frame (body).

    Stick with them.
