Hi.
I'm fairly new to this site and haven't been a mountain biker for too many years to think about. Although I am a road biker and triathlete.
I am looking to buy a bike on the bike2work scheme, upto the value of about £750.
My company are tied to Evans Cycles for this scheme, so I'm looking at Spesh or Scott specifically.
Any suggestions or additions?
Cheers
David

Hi Larok
The Charge Duster looks quite interesting and Evans Cycles do them.
Would this be comparable to the Spesh or the Scott.

The frame is steel against the aluminum of the spesh and scott.
The bike shop in the link have only the small left for that price now I just noticed. Still compettitive at the price though.
You may have noticed it is very well speced for the money with Tora forks and avid's 3 brakes. The spesh also has a nice frame and better recon forks and the same brakes. Both are great bikes.
I do admire the charge look and I hear they are well made frames. It is certainly comparable to the other two bikes. I'd be interested in other peoples views of the charge vs the spesh.
When it was in the sale for 500 it was particularly good value. I think I would probarbly go with the specialised though if people agree the shock is substantially better?

Thanks again Larok.
I still like the look of the Scott Scale 50 but I think the Spesh looks better on paper so I'll give them both a try and take it from there.
Cheers

No probelemo, I see that has the Tora Fork rather than the Recon as well.
