the most you realistically need is max 2.6 width. Above 2.6 inch is just unnecessary as the cons outweigh the pros.

We have (at least) one in the shop I work in, but you'll have to come a few hundred miles to get it!

dont know many forks that will fit a 3" tyre.

the 3" Gazz is a pretty rubbish tire, compared to all the modern rubber from Maxxis, Kenda, Syncros, etc.

I used to run the 3" Gazz on the back of my Big Hit (in 24") and the 2.6" Gazz on the front, and "back in the day" it was a decent combo compared to what other tires where on the market

the trick to get the Gazz tires to grip (as the compound was very hard) was to run very low pressures, as the casing was like a motobike tire you could run 15-18psi without pinch flats, and get insane grip on the corners from the gnarly tread deforming over rocks and roots

but i then started using the 2.6" x 24" rear when i realised how much weight and drag the big 3" tire caused at DH venues like Aston Hill

have a look at the Maxxis High Roller and Minion tires in 2.5" and either 60A (maxpro) or Super Tacky (42A) compounds
