Hi, Just about to buy a new hope BB and I am faced with the decision of stainless steel or ceramic bearings.
Are there any advantages of one over the other and which would be the better for longevity.

    Stainless steel is cheaper, ceramic lasts longer.

    That doesn't necessarily mean that ceramic lasts a long time, but assuming both bearings were sealed the same, saw the same environmental conditions, the same duty cycle and the same maintenance, the ceramics out-last the steel.
