hi to all
firstly i'd like to say what a great site this is!
anyway, now the obligatory butt-kissing is over, im new to all this cycling and i have been having some pins and needles in the ball of my left foot.
i get this when im on my road bike or my mountain bike. now i know it must be something to do with the adjustment of the cleat, but i have tried jiggling it into different positions with the no joy- its still uncomfortable. does anyone have any advise on setting them up? thanks.
p.s. i use the same mountain bike spd shoes on the mountain bike and the road bike, could this cause any problems?
many thanks- ploppy

You could try a pedal with a platform e.g. Shimano M545. They're meant to reduce "hotspots" on your feet."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

I think you can put the cage onto existing Shimano pedals e.g. M520s."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

I had that problem with toe clips, i went to clipless and problem solved, kinda the opposite to you, you could try Time SPD's as they have a lot of float as do eggbeaters but that's normaly for bad knees, might solve your foot problem though, also are you sure you don't have your shoes too tight.0
