I've got a pair of these and can't fault 'em.

Might be a bit pricey - but worth evey penny.

LBS says that they have DMRs being returned every week under warrenty for bearings..........

Our LBS has never had DMRs returned and they sell tonnes (three pairs to me for example).

The paint thing - I'm slightly irritated by HOW quickly the paint fell of our black ones (2 pairs) - the Rockhopper's ones have hardly been used and it's 3 months old yet they are looking pretty tatty. Heavily used ones on my Stumpy (9 months old) have almost no paint left on them!

4 year old ones on the old Stumpy are fine though - they are silver

Pedals above look frikkin lethal - do they double as weapons?

Wellgo V8 copys are the way forward.... The cage materials are different, but the spindle is identical, welgo even make the DMR stuff anyway!

£11.99 from CRC, and just as good...

Pointless getting the DMR ones! When the wellgo ones go pop, or need a service, just chuck em and get a shiny new set!

For that price its not worth paying out for something thats going to get wrecked anyway! :D
