You could get something really special for that price - how about an Ibis Mojo from Stif?"Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

We'll have someone along shortly extolling the virtues of an orange.
The yeti looks nice but given my own experience ox my EX8 I would have to say try the Trek - it does all I need.0 -

How about a lovely Santa Cruz Nomad, I have never ridden one off-road, but even on the road it was impressive compared to other full-sus machines I have ridden- Kona Hot '96 - Marin Rift Zone '09 - Cannondale Synapse Carbon '06 - Kona Caldera '98 - Kona AA '94 - Dawes Kickback II - Cannondale BadBoy '11 - Genesis iOiD SS -0

Make a shortlist and go and test them! Its a lot of money, trying them out is a must.
How about a Scott Spark? Very light for the money!0 -

Nothing comes close to the frame weight, and great spec considering the frame is 2k on its own!0 -
I second the Ibis Mojo SL. Do a search for some reviews.0

The problem with this is actually getting one from Stif. They are in very short supply."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0
