Just got myself a pair of Continental Speed King Protection tyres cheaply, a 2.1 and 2.3.
Which would you put on the front and rear and anybody riding two different size tyres.
Any advantages or disadvantages doing this.
For my hardtail for some moderate singletrack and road mainly.
Any comments greatly appreciated.

why did you buy two different sizes?
For what it's worth, I prefer having a bigger tyre on the front, as I prefer having more traction for steering and braking. However, if you're more of a cross country guy, then maybe you could use a bigger tyre on the back for climbing.0 -
yeah i often run odd sizes/tyres, i'd put the 2.3 on the back personally0

Preder the larger on the front, but if the weight bias is more on the fornt, ie steep angles, then maybe the other way round. Experiment.0

Thinner tyre on the back for better grip as it cuts through the dirt also less rolling resistance.0

(Nice weekend Bike!!!) If you were doing cross country I would have bought 1.95 or even 1.50 tyres as these pose much less redistance and the bike is faster. Not so good when the trail gets very muddy though...
