I'm going to be moving house this week and my bike will be going from locked up in a garage to secured in a bike shed outside. Need some advise on sort of locks to use and who to get insurance with just incase someone does manage to nick it.

You can get a shed anchor:

to back this up fill a bucket with concrete with a hardened steal shackle set in it and a D lock so even if they take the shed side off they still have a problem moving the bike.0 -
Is it a communal bike shed?
My bike was in one with some pretty decent locks but still disappeared one night. Probably an inside job as the door wasn't forced, lots of bikes were taken and the door was locked when I came to get my bike at 6:45am the next morning.
Also, some insurance companies will place a restriction on how much you can claim for when the bike is in a communal shed - worth checking on the policy.0 -
