Well i want/need a new wheel.

I wanted 721 on pro 2 [/standard]

Wanted it built by Wheelpro as my front wheel (build my him) is amazing

No 721s. Poo.

Choice: Stans Flow rim on hope pro 2. Or different shop to build it.

in there is about £50 as I'll go tubeless as well with the Stans.

What you lot think?

For Local downhill/Jumping/Freeride

After mashing a 5.1 on XT, probably a poor build.

A Merlin built wheel will be just as good, if not better...

Merlin is gay. Thats where i got the pair of 5.1 on XTs from. Both are now unused. Won't use them again.

Just because you don't use something doesn't make the supplier 'gay'. What issues did you have with your wheelset that made you come to your conclusion?

Merlin are one of the best wheel builders in the UK along with Stif & Wheelpro.

Both wheels got bent out of shape very quickly

    One is now completely buckled.

Other is just dying/is going to get replaced.

    MERLIN BUILT THEM.

so merlin are gay, because you sued an xc wheel set to jump/freeride and DH on?

I'm sorry i can not follow your logic.

If they built it well, they should have been fine. Hubs are hubs. Pro DHers use 5.1s. They seem to do fine. They are not an XC wheelset.

Well you're a cunt and it's they're ;) Rims don't have to be heavy to be strong. Now will someone actually give me good advice? or do I have to agree with a lot of people; this forum is shite.

If you don't like it then don't use it. Being immature and confrontational is not going to get you anywhere.

I think you are on your own with that one, I dare you to go up there and tell them that, they are Northern hardmen you know.

Merlin wheels are long established as some of the best around, whats that saying about a bad workman and his tools.

probably a poor build? Probably bought the wrong wheel. Yes build is important, but you don't DH on a rim like that.
