I've just bought a set of these for road use. Now I've got them I'm wondering if they are possibly TOO slick for wet weather, or will they be okay?
Also what about use on railway tracks (semi tarmaced)? Any ideas/opinions?

Best tyre for smooth road (even when wet!) is a FULL slick! Little knobs (pardon the pun!) on the rubber can slip over the road surface.
However for gravelly stuff, they help.0 -

I'm confused a bit. Would I benefit more in anyway instead of having Full slicks by having something like these? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Cat=cycle&ProdID=5360022185&n=Specialized%20Specialized%20Nimbus%20EX%20Tyre"Life is like a box of chocolates..." what the f*ck is that all about? 8)

For just tarmac, a full slick as you can get. For tarmac and gravelly paths, a few small knobblies. Those channels and cutaways actually do nowt.0

All tyres compromise in some area - do you want the best performance on road and not very good on railway tracks? Or the other way around? Or something in the middle. I run one of these on the read for comunting/gravel tracks and find it excellent.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Sorry for asking so many dim questions. It's just that I have decided I really wanna start taking mtb seriously (or as seriously as I can at 41) :?"Life is like a box of chocolates..." what the f*ck is that all about? 8)
