Which Bottom Bracket & Crankset... For a GT Agressor 3?

My friend has a large GT Agressor 3. The crank arm keeps working loose and falling off. Looks like the BB and crank arm needs replacing. So basically a new BB and crankset.

I was wondering what size bottom bracket does it take?

I'm looking at a BB & Crankset deal like this..

External cranksets come with the BB, and will fit most frames.

Older types (and cheaper ones now) have cartridge bottom brackets, the axle length depends on what crank. The shell size of the Agressor is 68mm.

Merlin are doing the LX octalink crank and Bb for 45 quid.

XT is good, but a third the cost of the bike!
