Surely down to the fact that us girlies are a particularly interesting and eloquent bunch?:D

    agreed :D
  • It is pretty funny. Especially when they post their Myspace profile in their signature.

I was never suggesting you weren't. I was merely commenting on the fervour with which the men of the forum reply to female's posts with. I'm probably guilty of it myself.
Especially when they post their Myspace profile in their signature.

You've had a little nose around Beca's profile too then?

Its because we all love the idea of finding a nice MTB girl, or converting respective partners to being mtbers,

I know ladies do happen in the sport obviously but seriously how often do you bump into them on the trail, i have bumped into 3 so far this year, and have been fitting 1-2 good trail rides a week in since jan.

i feel that in a predominantly male orientated sport i like to see ladies getting stuck in and want to support that!

Well said! Nice to know we are welcome in what is a guy orientated sport.

You guys are hilarious at times tho.......

Same on any male dominated forum.

You'd recieve the same interest if you posted on http://www.highheels.com

Now, I'd try that and see if you're right, but there doesn't seem to be a forum there.

    Shame.

Was over at the Forest of Dean today and was good to see a few girls riding. One was attacking a downhill nicely and whooping for joy heh heh. Although i swear she'd swapped bikes with some guy who i saw later riding a lovely pink kona full sus :D. the girl in the shop was nice too, think i'll be heading back a bit more often  :)

Well i have seen a few, but one paticular girl I see never says high even though i say high to anybody I see when riding in ashton court. Even Steve Worland (who i made a fool of myself in front of).
Yes this girl is a racer and thats what i put it down to, see if you can guess who?
Just cause i talk to a girl doesn't mean i'm hitting on you :x

She probably thinks you're high. If you say "Hi" maybe she'll respond better.

If you ever enter any races or marathons, enduros, Open5s etc. then there are plenty of women there if that's what rocks your boat.....

always seems to be loads of women in Llandegla. It's good to see them getting involved in the sport I reckon.
I'm actually teaching my mate's 15 year old daughter to ride MTBs at the moment too, and she's loving it!

Oh dear, bad spelling again

Well its not really, i just found it funny how she would be the only one not to reply or even acknowledge
I entered races, didn't like the atmosphere. I could try some enduros but the problem is i am 18 and have yet to learn to drive and i have a part time job on sundays.

Girls are in school, biking is my time. My escape from life.

If you were the girl in London Phoenix kit that rode past me in Walthamstow at about 2.15 on Sunday then a very big 'hello' to you! If you're ever looking for riding buddies then please don't hesitate to let me know!

Sounds like a lot of girls I know too! Never did understand why so many of them prefer to spend the weekend shopping to being outside - shopping has to be one of the most boring things ever, specially when its sunny out. Im trying to convert them though :D

A girl who doesnt like shopping!

Yikes the amount of bag carrying i have done over the years!. lol was almost grateful to become single to not shop. the ex thought i liked it.... i just kept quiet and waited untill i got my super strong cup of coffee as my treat lol

I do go shopping (obviously!), i just dont like it. And its worse when you have a boyfriend following you round the shops looking bored. I always refused to let my ex come shopping with me - sometimes he pretended to want to come but i think he was secretly relieved when I told him not to
