Supersonic, ever been up on top of the ridge at Wharncliffe when its wet and the power lines start humming and your hairs start to stand up? Scared the brown stuff out of me last time I did it seeing as the line are somewhat closer to eye level than is comfortable

i can't wait to be at sheffield uni in september! (come on good grades :))

my local trails are non-existent... Cannock is 20 miles away and is therefore not 'local'.

Hey, Dastardly Nick, I'm sure that "climb" on the Dalby black route is actually the descent - looks very much like it to me.....maybe that's why you are so dastardly?

Ha ha, well the name must've come from somewhere!

No that's definitely a climb. There's a couple of sections that drop down into a valley and climb back out the other side up the same sort of terrain. They look like river beds and I went up there last summer when we had all the rain and it had turned into a stream.

ohh i recognise that trail! ha ha and that climb there, ride up that and you're doing well! real burner on the legs. also i find it funny how temperamental that river is. sometimes flowing sometimes not.
my dad (59) at cwmcarn - the rocky section round the end of the hill 2nd last descent section:

not really. i survived on cheapo halfords lights but it was killing me knowing how good a light could be. went through 3 cheapish lights (first was a spare i had, bought another - took it back and swapped for another then sold that one to a friend) and then splashed out on the hope 1 led for an expensive commuting light ha ha. I'm saving up till the nights get darker, then it'll be the 2 led for sure. Once you've had that light its really hard to use something else. I didn't realise how bad the optics were on cheap lights and how the hope lens had such an even cover and its brightness. one man walking advertisement ha. definitely getting hope lights in the future though!
