Decent "flat" pedals

I'm picking my new bike up tomorrow (RockHopper comp disc 08), and it comes with Shimano 505 spd pedals.
I already have a pair of SPD pedals (M520), so dont need the ones that come with the bike.
I'm looking at flat pedals which will be used when I'm not using the SPDs- are there any flat pedals you would recommend?
Thanks

Got DMR V8s on all three of our Specialized bikes.
They're great!0 -
DMR V12's, wear the right sort of shoes and they are v grippy.
You could even go for the magnesium and titanium ones, very light for flats.*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

as above really - DMRs (8's or 12's), although i am quite taken with the Shimano DX flats - VERY light!0

Out of curiosity how light are the DX's?*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

So the DMRs are a safe bet?
And does anyone know how much the Shimano 505 SPD pedals retail at? I obviously cant get a set of pedals that are much more expensive than the 505s, as I'm hoping the shop will swap them for me.0 -

Don't know exact weight tbh - but as soon as I got them out of the box I was struck by the lightness...
Maybe check out shimano's webby0 -
The Shimano MX30 are listed as £44.99 in the catologue I have here.
The magnesium V12's with the ti axles are listed as 354g, just about to check on Shimano flatties.*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

Shimano MX30 DX ATB shown as 492g per pair*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

M520's listed at £26.99, almost the same as V8's.
Sorry should have had all that on 1 post.*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

DMR, there just great, i swear by them0

Another vote for DMR's here too. I've got the V8's on one bike, and just got some V12's on the new bike. Use in conjunction with some Five Ten's and your feet will not move.0

I know everyone will say they suck... but 5050xx's are £35 on WInstanleyBike atm
I'm happy with mine!0 -
Wellgo MG1 - they make DMR pedals, they are nigh on identical and half the price.0

Wellgo MG1 - And if you get coloured pedals the paint WILL come off, it just does!0

GT - true enough. Got two black pairs of V8s and both look shabby already (one pair is only two months old!).
The silver ones still look fine though.0 -
Thanks all.
Just got a nice new pair of white V8s, very nice too0 -

Have you got any pics of your bike - Generally someone with white pedals has a nice looking bike!0 -
