Hi sorry if this is the wrong topic area, I am conducting a questionnaire for my university project and would appreciate it if you would please answer a few questions. The details will not be passed on to any other parties and if there are questions which you feel are too personal then please ignore them, any answers would be beneficial to my/our group research, thank you.

a) Fitness b) Leisure (I also cycle to work most days, but I'm not interested in cycling because it's a way to get to work, rather cycling to work contributes to fitness and is enjoyable. It's almost as quick by public transport and I have a season ticket).

The problem with this question and question 4 is that they effectively form a feedback loop with question 6... I can't say whether I'd be prepared to pay a fee without knowing what I would get from the service, and I can't say what I'd expect from the service without knowing how much it costs... So I would say that this is a problem with the survey design. Don't worry, most professional surveys I see also have some logical design flaws! Something to bring up with your tutors?

This is also a tricky question for most keen cyclists, as almost all will cycle more often than once a week but most will not cycle every single day (rest days are good). It would be better to ask "how many days a week do you cycle on average?" and have several options (one of which could be "less than one").
