Ordered some bits from CRC over the Easter weekend and the order still hasn't been sent out (on 4th April). Sent an email 2 days ago and no response, and can't get through on the phone.

Normally I'm blown away by how quickly they get orders out (4pm order, arrives next day) and maybe because of this I'd expect more from them.

Anyone else had problems in the last 2 weeks?

Thanks

they're having an extension done and somehow the main electric cable got cut which has caused massive issues, there's another topic on this already (somewhere)

Have only experienced unbelievably quick delivery, but this week where I have to email them about 2 orders, 1 of them quite complex, I have only received 1 unhelpful automated email back. Given the fact that they are not taking calls when i have tried to phone them, this is very frustarting.

    Patience is running out!!

Today, all their email addresses are down. Anything sent to them just bounces back. Phone number is permanently engaged or they just don't answer it. Wouldn't need to contact them if they'd refunded my legitimate return properly.

Starting to get really p*ssed off with this outfit.

to be fair crc is a class outfit which has got troubles atm they are only human and building work is always disruptive in regards to phone lines think how many people try to contact them!!!

  • in the space of 2 hours on monday they had recieved over 200 orders according to the two orders i put in! (ordered the first after lunch after managing to get the old knackered one out, then when checking i had the re threaded tap right noticed the other original pin had gone so needed a second!)

the service they supply is amazing considering!

  • Never,ever had a problem.
Been ordering from them for 10 years or so.

By the sound of it they're having trouble, but I placed a big order late last Thursday and it turned up on Saturday (the fact that I missed the postman is irrelevant  )

Have faith, they're just having a rough spell...

I went to Wiggle because there seemed to be a problem at CRC who I usually used and was most impressed by Wiggle's quick service.

i had tyres delivered when i was expecting them no problems for me. jesus give them a week and they'll be as fast as normal. go use your local bike shop if you don't want to wait.
  • Normally they are great, but I can't get through on the phone, and don't get a response to emails. Why don't they put something on the website saying they're having problems and then I'd leave them in peace to sort themselves out.

However I first joined this forum (C+) due to problems with a bike supplier, who subsequently went out of business....

crc is massive, even though im aware of the problems due to the extention, i still have confidence in the service they provide. since i started using crc & wiggle, i havent bothered with lbs of which there are plenty round here.

Massive companies can still go bust! And it is worrying that they don't even put a message on their website or on their phone system or as a response to emails. If I was a company of any size I'd have a decent disaster plan to cope with "extension problems".

Just done better than that - I ordered 2 tyres from them yesterday (Monday) about 11:00 in the morning, selected carriage via Parcel Farce 48 cos it was free.

Turned up this morning at 10:30 - 23,5 hours! Not bad going that...
