started out a good day, sunny, fairly dry...perfect for riding got down to the local trails for quick blast, started no probs until i came to a load of roots what were still damp  came flying down tryed braking before ended up sliding down and straight off the bike and in a pile of roots and plant :x hurt my back but couldnt see what was wrong and looked at my legs.... covered in blood and 2 deep cuts , had a look around and in the plants was a few rocks...now know were the cuts come from  got home cleaned it up abit and checked my back also cut  now got 7 stitches and a very sore back managed to take a pic after i cleaned it though
not happy, but atleast i had my helmet on and the bike is ok

shite - sorry to hear that man, sounds like quite a tumble.... look on the brightside... chicks dig scars and this over the years will turn into "remember that 60' huck I did......"
Seriously - glad you're OK and still in one piece.....0 -

So after this which route are you gonna take:
"The get back on the bike and keep going, afterall pain is only temporary" or is it going to be the "Start off slow, with a slight/medium knock to the ol' confidence" ??
Personally I reckon the first one is better. After my crash last year, in which I nearly lost most of my face... I had a serious confidence problem, aswell as hardly being able to ride for 3 months. Since then I've had a few crashes but it's all part of being a biker eh!
Just get up and keep on riding!0 -
I've not fallen off my bike for a few years now, although i doubt i ride quite as often as most on here.
Falling off is never nice, but having not experianced it for so long, i'm certainly not look looking forward to it when it inevitably happens (Not that you would anyway).....................I'm sure you understand what i'm getting at :roll:0 -

think il go for the first one, should be back on the bike in a few weeks ... luckily the bike is fine just a few light scratches which will hopefully clean out. hasnt really knocked my confidence much just made me think no matter how many times youve done the route things can still go wrong :roll:0
