I am wondering if anyone can help - I read a web site a couple of years ago which had a list of 10 rides that everyone should do, it encluded the Etape, Ventoux and l'Alpe d'Huez. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what it was

Cheers in advance

I have a book 'Classic Cycle Races of Europe - 23 race routes to ride yourself' (which is actually a list of 23 top sportives) and another book 'The best Alpine Passes with a racing bike - 40 selected routes', and the only three routes which are common to both books are

the Marmotte, the Ötztaler Radmarathon and the Maratona Dolomiti,

so a pretty formidable but legitimate start to any list of ten.

    It's a German-language book:
"Die schönsten Alpenpässe mit dem Rennrad",
author Rudolg Geese, publisher J.Berg, Munich, dated 2004, ISBN 3-7658-4070-X
