Quick Powerlink question(s)?

If running a SRAM chain with powerlink. Is it advisable to, if it breaks, use another powerlink to close the chain hence ending up with two powerlinks?

Currently running shimano and looking at buying some powerlinks for if/when the chain fails, are powerlinks the best option or should i stick with shimano rivets?

no probs with using more than one powerlink.

powerlinks work with shimano chains but neither company will say so.

    Cheers Nick.

    Prompt as always

  • It is easier to clip a powerlink on than put in some new links! Definitely worth the time saved :) Saying that, when I get home i'll replace the powerlink for a normal link - purely for symmetry. A chain made purely of powerlinks... now there is an idea!
