Waterproof repairs

Hi, I was out at the weekend and managed to make a hash of a perfectly good attempt at a face plant and landed on my shoulder instead ripping my jacket in a few places in the process.
My question is, are there any decent methods of repairing a waterproof jacket to save me having to buy a new one every couple of weeks?
Or should i just concentrate on trying to stay on my bike a bit more?
Thanks
Owen

if its a think style of jacket then you can use some Spinneker repair sail cloth tape as its very thin and flexible and very strong, small patch on both sides, and comes in a variety of colours!
can be attained from local boat chandlers of online"!Timmo.

Just put duck tape on the inside of the hole. I've done it where my seat ripped my waterproof trousers and it has lasted longer...
And you can carry a roll for mid ride repairs!0
