Hope Pro 2 Squeeking (service)

Today my Hope Pro 2 rear hub started squeeking has any one else had this problem? how easy is it to service my self?

im guessing that it needs regreasing or lube.

I have the tools to get the cassette off, but do i need any think else?

Hope hubs use cartridge bearings which can be relubed if you are careful you can strip the hub down and then remove the sealing side plates of the bearings and then lube thm. But if the bearings are squeeking then a new set of bearings will most likely be needed.

you will see it is NOTHING like a shimano hub.

thanks nicklouse, would you say its a easy or hard job? do you know what tools i will need to open it up like in the diagram?

soft faced mallet.the odd drift and hammer and to fit the new bearings something to press on the outside race of the bearings while you hit it.

a drift is a tool like a chisel but not sharp.

BTW i have only had the pro 2 for about 6 months should it need regreasing already?
