looking for a frame and fork to replace my bighit and Junior t's because i don't need that much travel i want something that i can do a bit of DH on at cwmcarn and similar yet thrash it at my local jump spot without looking like a t*t on a 8in travel bike. im also interested to enter in some 4x races in the summer. by the way, planning to get the frame and forks after i come back from Les Gets mid-July so don't show me anything on eBay.

well i would be keeping the big hit and look at building a seperate 4X bike as you only want about 100mm travel for the 4X which will not be fun in the Alps.
yes doable but not as much fun....

Santa Cruz Blur 4X, Commencal Meta 4x4.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

    one of these:

100mm (4") travel, frame strong enough for slopestyle, dirt jumping and downhill, goes like a rocket, will take serious abuse, ideal with 4" fork for 4X race or 5" Pike for more freeriding...
