Hi there,
Been looking around the internet and the only info i can find on the topic is from this forum
http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopi ... sc&start=0
Now having read through that thread i'm still quite confused...
Basically i have an identiti dr jekyll, and i need to buy some new wheels. At the moment i have 26" wheels. I'm wondering do i go for 26" ers or 24" ers? I ride mainly dirt jumps with some free-ride (drops and such). Being totally honest i'm intrested in 24's for two reasons one being looks - big wheels dwarf my frame, and two being the aspect of 'chuckability' hopefully improving my dirt jumping. However after reading that thread i don't like the sound of 'steepening the head angle' which means manuals are gonna be harder to pull
So what i'm asking for is your opinion on which to go for, i have no option to try some 24's - just to let you know.

my mate has a dr j on 24"s and it rides pretty well it is chuckable almost bmx like and the head angle is fine on it, thats coming from riding a large 24/7 crosser frame to his titchy bike lol, it'll ride well and save weight if that matters.0

if you are going to go for 24" on the DrJ get the drop outs for the 24" wheel.
it does not actually steepen the headangle but as the trail distance is reduced it does make the steering sharper "like" making the headangle steeper."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

will you be running it single speed or with gears?0

Be running with gears - (mainly to get to and from the trail), and it's the 'vintage' frame before adjustable dropouts were introduced.0

should be fine what year is it? my mates is 03 and his as i've said runs really nicely0
