Can anyone recommend a company running off-road tours abroad? I did the Trans Wales in 2006 and am looking for a bit more luxury this year! I'm not interested in cable-car/downhilling, just getting from place to place in good scenery and with a decent bar at the end of each day. Last year I did the Raid Pyreneen, on-road, challenge and would like to do something similar off-road. Any suggestions appreciated.
PS - In September 2010 I’ll be cycling 900 miles from the East Midlands to the Med for cancer research. To find out more about Mids2Med 2010, or to make a donation, visit www.justgiving.com/mids2med2010

Not used them but the tours offered by Skedaddle look pretty good. Their tours in Bhutan and Ladakh look fun would love to do one.
  • Try calling Andy at Mountain Beach and see what he has available. He runs tours in Europe, Canada, South Africa as well as in the UK and has some good weekend breaks in the UK so you can get a flavour of what they do.

Just be careful as he will inevitably try to sell you a bike from his shop as as well!
