What bike to buy - Decathlon B-twin?

Hi
I'm looking to buy an entry level road bike. Recently started cycling to work on my mountain bike but its too heavy (live in Sheffield so its hills, hills and more hills...)
Wanting to spend between £500-£600. Been around local bikes shops and have seen a few that catch the eye.
- TIFOSI CK3 with campagnolo groupset - £675
- Decathlon B-twin (can't remember the model number but they're getting a new range in shortly)
- Saracen Aubisque - £576
I'm tempted by the B-twins at decathlon but don't know anything about them.
Can anyone give any advice on these, are any good? The Tifosi gets a great review on chicken cycles but I'd be seriously stretching my budget. Is it worth it?
Thanks

i have a decathlon (btwin) sport 2 16s... 169 pounds...
Done about 1000 mileson it,and only things ive changed is the brakes, wish i had gone for the the model above as it had a tripple, and the 52/42 chainsetatthe front was no good...
Put a compacton, and much betterlol
I am tempted to buy my nextbike there, just therenot part ofthe cycle to work scheme:S0 -

I also own a Decathlon bike having had it for 18 months, it is a sport 1 model. I have done over 7000 miles on it and agree that the own brand brakes are awful and the steel chainset with it's 52/42 rings unusual but great value for the £199 I paid. On my last visit to decathlon I saw a £314 Sport 3 with carbon forks and rear stays with Campag mirage triple 10 speed. Easily the best bike around for the money. My only view with Decathlon is the service is a bit hit and miss, so best to avoid them if you rely on the skills of your local bike shop to sort out your problems, or consider still using a bike shop for possible repair or service.0

Does the sport 3 have fittings for racks and Mudguards?

Cheers all.
I'm gonna wait until they get the new range in stock and see what kit they've got on. I'm pretty sure its campognolo brakes ad gears but will check before buying.
I take it nobody's got any real opinion on the Tifosi?0 -

Hi ive got the sport 2 done 2100 miles on it up and down sheffields hills and in derbyshire and cant grumble for the price, yes the own brand brakes arnt great and compared to the big names its slightly heavy, but it cost half the price.
Mine has campag xenon 9 speed mechs and a triple chainset which is steel i think, the triple certainly helps on sheffields hills.
ridden through winter with no issues exept for usual wear n tear.0 -
Hi there
I've got a Saracen Tourmalet and if you can stretch to £650 go for it as its a beautiful bike, brushed aluminium finish is great and has carbon fibre forks and rearstays0 -

They look decent value, good branded components and finishing kit, one of the cycling mags ran a CK6 or 7 as a winter bike and thought highly of it, think they swapped the fork but that was about it.FCN 7

Fear I may be too late here, but...
I picked up a B'Twin sport 4 today (as did 3 mates of mine) and it's great. Being a bit of a road bike newbie I'm not massively up on what's what in the world of specs, but I'm reliably informed it's got the same spec as you'd expect to find on a bike that costs £200-£300 more!0 -
