crank length

need some help please, i have just built up a stumpjumper for my girlfriend but may have ordered the wrong cranks.the frame is 13.5 inch with 175mm cranks fitted and her feet rub on the front tyre when turning.i have noticed that the stumpy came fitted with 170mm cranks originally.could this be the problem,Any advice greatly appreciated..........

    175 is just about the standard. but shorter people require shorter cranks. BUT 5mm is not going to change much regarding feet and wheel. i sugest you may need to reposition the feet.

    thanx nicklouse,didnt think that 5mm would make that much differnce but cant think what else it could be.
