Hiya... can anyone tell me how Altura shorts fit? Are they small for their size or not?
I am looking to buy a pair of their baggy shorts but have always had cannondale shorts up until now.

Cheers.

May be a bit late to reply for you but I'd say they come up a little big. I like them baggier so that suits me fine but you may have different tastes.

  • hey thanks anyway - i went for the bigger size and yeah - they are pretty big!!! not overly so though so they will do fine.... probably won't be too long and i'll have ripped the bum or leg off these ones too!!!

    cheers!

Just out of curiosity, which style did you go for?
I'm after some longer length (ie over the knee length) shorts for women as my good old Animal baggies have seen better days but I'm not having much luck finding any!

  • sombrio do some really good baggies (over and under the knee). they come up quite big tho, which is fine by me - i like them proper baggy.

Sombrio are really comfy too, just a bit of a bitch to get hold of a pair!

I have those ones, very comfy indeed, just a bit short for my liking.

check out wiggle - they sell quite a bit of sombrio stuff, or if you're riding over in afan, bikeshop there sells it.

They do indeed, I got my first pair of Sombrio shorts from them. Now they haven't updated the range since late 2006 though it's getting a bit tired looking!

  • true, but then again, sombrio have only made fairly insignificant changes to the designs, styles & colours anyway, so not really a problem... especially when covered in mud.
