Hey Chaps

Ive been using Rock Shox Reba forks for the last 3 or so months.

However, last week, half way round a trail i noticed i had about an inch of travel.

I got home andf took all the pressure out both the positive and negative air chambers, pumped therm back up, and it instantly relaesed the forks.

On my next ride the forks went down to about an inch of travel again.

I have tried this a couple of times now, and the same is happening.

Are the forks busted and need sending back, or can i fix them?

All help greatly appreciated

Thankyouuuu

Iain Mac

Hmm, I'm no expert but it sounds like some sort of air leak?

Ok good the dual air. are you setting the presures to the info on the fork or to give the correct sag?

set up should go add pos air to set the sag and then set neg air to get the feel.

  • Yeah. . . . air pressures set as advised

Tried it a few times, but still not seeming to last :S

well that could be the wrong way. set the sag to your weight and then tune the neg to feel. but if you are losing the pos air then time for a fix.

if the air presure is not high enough and the rebound too slow forks can pack down.

  • Ive set both the positive and negative air chambers as by my weight.

Maybe slackening the rebound right off and trying that?

Rather than setting the positive air by the weight table, try setting it for 15-20mm of sag. This is likley to be around 25% lower pressure than the table suggests.
  • Thanks for the advice chaps.

Rand chain reaction today, and they said they would fix them free of charge.

Any more ideas before i send them off, or is it fix job.

    Thanks guys

If none of the above has solved it, it is most likely an air leak.
