Is there a good book/article/DVD that shows a good way to build your own bike?
I am looking to do this but as I am no more than a very basic "tinkerer", I would appreciate something that takes you step by step.
I have a couple of maintenance books that will probably do, but if someone has any more info that might help much appreciated.

if not could recommend an order of doing things or do you just get stuck in.!

  • this thread from a different forum gave me a starting list of things to attach. Also had this instructables.com, link saved but didn't really use it

In the end, I just did what 'felt' like the right thing to put on next. Often because I needed something else from the shop (tools etc), I was forced to work on a different bit instead.

Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance should tell you all you need to know, along with the instructions recieved with the components .
