I've been flying, as the pilot, (part of my course - Aerospace engineering); Swansea/the Gower from 2000ft was awesome.....not sure if the instructor realised how hungover I was tho... :?

the best flight I ever took was Budapest to Luton in '06 it was a clear night so I could see the Dutch coast and English coast all lit up. It was surreal.

not wanting to sound like a nagging old man, but be careful here. you can lose your licence before you get it. i think the legal limit for planes is about half, of half a shandy. (with weak lager  )

I did sydney to london in one go. on the way back from an UNBEATEN WOOHOO rugby tour with my school. what was great was that i was one of the ones chosen to upgrade to first class! flat beds and everything i slept nearly the whole way back ha ha ha. planes are fine, remember to pop your ears on take off and landing otherwise it REALLY hurts. sweets to suck on are good.
  • the longest flight i've been on is 10hrs. gatwick-vancouver.
flight was fine but i took my bike and when i got to the other end they wanted to check it all out. it took 2hrs. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Just got back from my holls, and the jetlag is killing me. 'Twas a 9 3/4 hour leg to Dallas from Gatwick , then 2hrs to Denver. Managed to grab a free aisle on the final leg home, so was stretched out with 4 pillows/ blankets, but still got no sleep. However hard I try, there is never any sleeping in cattle class.
