Call me a moron but I'm having trouble with my new fixie. Never ridden fixed and can't seem to get the chain tension right. Does anyone know of an idiot proof guide anywhere on the web that will assist with my moronic fettlings??
Oh and why has taken me so long to get a fixie. I've never had so much fun!

What drop outs do you have/
Is the chain slack then tight or slackish all round0 -
If you can find the way to the Fixed FAQs (Wiki'd I think) lots of advice!
Basically 1/2" vert chain each way movement at mid point of chain at tightest point (nearly always varies a little throughout the revolution!).
Use a lever (wedge shape best) between tyre and down tube to hold in place while tightening axle nuts if you find it difficult singlehanded.
This of course assumes you have suitable drop outs for a fixed!d.j.
