Thinking of riding ashton court etc in Bristol soon and wondering if anyone knows how the trails are holding up at the moment and how bad they will get with bad weather/rain?
Thanks

They are quite plastered tbh with you and could do with a bit of a break...0

Fair enough, thanks for letting me know.
If anyones looking in here - any other ideas on where to ride this side of the severn, need to give cwmcarn and afan a rest - ridden there way too much.0 -

try the quantocks SUUUUUPERB!I never touched it! It was broke when I got here.0

Don't be so quick to recommend the Quantocks, it's a s**t fest there too! This is me about a week before xmas...

ha ha so is there anywhere? I know Cleeve hill up near cheltenham is gravel based so is a good ride in the wet but wanted a bit more choice!
anyone able to recommend fairly exact routes for wet or dry (when summer gets here)?
any links to maps on the interweb?
thanks for the help so far0 -
Well thing is, you're fed up of riding Cwm Carn and Afan but they're designed to be ridden all year round... I'd carry on riding them until things perk up and then go explorering for new trails come spring!0

yeah thats a good idea i suppose. see i started xc in march and have ridden cwmcarn 6+ times and had 4 visits to afan just wanted something different but now isn't really the best time of year to ask ha ha.
expect a new thread in spring asking for ideas for rides in wiltshire etc!0 -
well if you ever need anyone to go riding with I live in bath0

you got a good location if i'm ever in the area i'll try n remember to pm you0

Many of the trails in Ashton Court, Bristol have bcome mud baths. There are loads of people turning up with Xmas bikes on their 4x4s. Should die down again in a few weeks.0
