similar to the one on mine0 -
i use this on my hard tail as it is solid as fook and takes anything you can find to throw at it.

Can you put a bashguard onto a 3 ring set-up? Like with a 2007 shimano XT h-tech crankset?0
-
not really. you have to sacrifice one of the rings tomount the bash guard0

Think I may have made a bit of a balls-up with my order.
I have one of these - 2 ring 22/32t with bash

and have ordered this:

It says 32t max.
My largest chainring is 32t - have I ordered incorrectly? Should I have gone a size bigger?
I know my frame is an ISCG05 and ordered accordingly
:?0 -
have you done to much with the chain device. if not you can send it back and order a bigger size0
-
Sorry matey - didn't get what you said....
So I have ordered the wrong size then?
I have not even recieved it from CRC yet so easy to send back0 -
send it back then. What i tried to say was if you have not done anything to put it together. send it back and change it for a larger size.0

32T bash is sized for a 32T outer ring. you've got the correct size cheesey. should be all good0

GT Destroyer, yes you can definitely fit a bashguard on a triple chainset.
Blackspire make one called amusingly the big ring protector and I have one on my Heckler

This comes as a 4 bolt or 5 bolt option and I have fitted one in the past to a Shimano Saint chainset with no probs at all so you'll be able to fit one on your XT chainset.
I know some people might not agree with fitting a bash onto a triple but I do alot of rocky rides and got sick of hearing rocks smashing underneath my bike and into my chainset and this bashguard really protects the chainrings for that type of riding.
I live in an urban area so generally have to ride about 8 miles or so on tarmac to anything approaching a bridleway so I need my 44t chainring even though I don't use it much when I get offroad.Dave S0
