BMX or Mountain Bike

Lately some of my mates are selling their Mountain Bikes n changing to BMX bikes... Im confused...Which is better? Which will you prefer riding... BMX or Mountain Bike..?

I still love Mountain Biking with my Kona Shred 07.. :D

    I have 2 MTB's (HT & FS) & a 24" BMX for use as a plaything/pub bike.

    I love riding my Orange 5 a bit more than either of the other bikes, but that's probably because it's a very good 'talent compensator ;)'

    Hmmm i guess its a good idea to buy a cheap BMX to ride to pubs for a pint.. I guess no1 will steal it... I Never trusted locks.. :lol:

    i prefer bmxing than dirt jumping but with a bmx i would still go to the jumps aswell as go to a skate park.

    I have a bmx for skateparks dirt jumps and street riding - far superior than a mtb for this stuff
    I have an on-one inbred 456 for XC - hardtails are way more fun for this inbetween stuff
    I will shortly have a Marin Quake 7.3 for DH and freeride - it looks way sexy
    I do not want a road bike as there is no fun in that.
    i do not want a trials bike as i'm rubbish at it

    anything i've missed? you didn't say what riding you do. 2 other friends have mtbs although one might get a bmx too. it all depends on your situation.
