I'm moving to Dunedin NZs South Island in April.
Anyone know of any must-do rides there?
Or is anyone already there and willing to let me tag along?

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

I went and visited a friend there in Oct 2006. There are about 3 or 4 BIG bike shops in the town so I suggest going there to ask about tagging along on rides. I found a website before with some local ones.

There is a big bmx track at Bethunes Gulley which also has a marked XC course that was used for their nationals before. There is also another course the other end which they used this year, the shops should be able to send you in the right way

This is the bmx track by the older xc course http://www.complexdreams.com/pics/nz/hi ... 010852.JPG

If you pop over to Queenstown for a break, take your bike as there were some mad downhill courses there plus they were finishing off this large/mental freeride park with loads of northshore

  • Cheers fella, that's the sort of info I'm after.
I know it looks pretty good generally, but the day is drawing closer and I'd like to hit the ground running when the bike arrives.
