Headset Cup Alignment - Just me or are there more like me?

I've just had a new Hope Headset fitted by my LBS and it's been done perfectly fine, although the lower cup is rotated oh so slightly round from being bang in line meaning the Hope logo is off centre by a letters width or so.

Am I the only one that finds this slightly annoying or are there more sufferers just like me?

I must admit that things like that bug me - I mean its obvious (to me anyway) that when you are fitting any part where the logo is going to be on display - that you use your eye to align it and not just 'bang it on/in' etc

I was having some forks fitted at LBS so gave him some new grips and asked if he could put them on whilst the bike was in. To save me the hassle (they were not lock ons)

They were raceface good n evil grips (see Marin in sig) -- anyway get the bike back and there was absolutely no system or logic in how he had put them on - logo was facing out and on the upper of the bar on left side - fine but the other logo on the right side was not visible... :twisted:

Serves me right for being lazy I suppose!!!

Other bits n bobs like grips it bothers me but a headset I just smack it in. With my method I can't get it on accurately rotated so I don't worry too much. An LBS should try and do it properly though.

If I were to show you all you'd give me a slap and tell me to get on with it!

The upper one is spot on so not fussed too much!

Glad i'm not alone though!
