What are my options for me? I've got 2 pairs of Tioga City Slickers, 26x1.0. One of which is on my bike, these tyres are thin, ie not a lot of meat on the tread from new and I'm worried about punctures etc. I'd like to put some form of tyre liner in them but the Slime ones don't fit anything so narrow. Would an old innertube inside the tyre help or should I bite the bullet and get some narrow schraeder tubes and put some Slime in them?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

My City Slickers have been puncture free for 3 years...

If you really want to, put the extra inner tube in. You'll add weight though, and as it's at the rim it will hurt your acceleration.

there are some kevlar liners that you can get that are lighter than an extra tube.

    eg panaracer flat away
