As the nights draw in I've decided to treat myself to a Dinotte 200L after reading such rave reviews and blindly riding the Southwark potholes on my commute home.
Does anyone know of any London biek shop stockists. I know it is probably cheaper to buy online but things tend to stray when you live in accommodation with shared lobbies!.
Thanks

Out in Richmond Park yesterday evening, squeezing in a couple of laps before the sun went down. Saw two or three riders going in the opposite direction with the most amazing lights - it was hard to tell the difference between their bike lights and those from a motorbike. Could these lights have been the Dinotte 200Ls, or maybe something else? I was seriously impressed and would like to invest in something similar.

I've got one of the older Dinotte 5W lamps. It's pretty good and bright enough to ride unlit roads with, but I suspect it's not one of the lights that you see on other bikes and go WOW ! I say that cos it's got a very small aperture, whereas it strikes me that the most impressive lights you see have a decent size lens.

The Dinottes would fit the bill.
Last year, when the technology was outputting approx. 100lumens (3W and 5W Luxeon emitters / LEDs rather than the 3W 200 lumen Seoul P4 LEDs/Cree LEDs), I bought a
    Solidlights 1303....
This comes with 3x 3W Luxeons, to provide a wider pool of light.
This lamp's as good as the one on the motorbike!

At 100 squids for this year's Dinotte offering, you could buy two!.. One to provide kerb/close illumination.

The ultimate, the Lupines really rock - But so do the ticket prices!

I've found that you get a wider berth when being overtaken too - probably something to do with the psychology of allowing room for the pool of light.

Be careful where you point them - it's easy to set them too high, and blind all and sundry!

Edit: Yeah, it was a close run thing between the Solidlights and the Dinotte last year - I opted for Solidlights as the beam was wider on the 1303, plus the run time and firmware suited me better, but last year they were near enough the same price.
