I know I'm being a total tool here, but I just can't figure out how to take the clip off.

I've searched through all the links and it tells you how to put them back on and Avid even have a pdf on how to do it, but it just says 'take the clip off with your thumbs'!

Vertically or horizontally? Do I just pull outwards/upwards/downwards? It's really stiff and tearing into my nails when I try.

    Juicy 7s

I'm used to the old fashion v brakes, so never had to change the pads on disks before!

remove wheel squezze pads together and remove. Just the same as fitting but in reverse.

if you go onto Srams webby and down load this it might help you

    06JuicyTechManual.pdf page 22.
