The What Mountain Bike review was interesting but it didn't really cover all the systems around at the moment that are under £100. Anyone got any positive (or negative) things to say about cheaper light sets?

Cheers!

  • I got some 3 weeks ago from Aire Valley Cycles

You may have to copy and paste the link?

They've gone up a tenner but.....

Only two light settings (On/off) but I've no trouble with them and at this cut price! They are really nice and bright but I've only used them once (see Save my knees on this forum)

Battery pack at first seems too big and bulky but you get enough straps to lash it in place so it won't move etc.

  • Thanks,

I saw some on the other night and the did seem to give out a really good light. I was thinking even cheaper though. Not sure I could justify even £100!
  • If you're planning on trail riding you need this type of light and they'll last a lifetime with battery changes.

I thought the same before to tell you the truth and got these for £90 with the bike I bought. Cheaper lights are for road use basically as they are nowhere near as bright or have the width of light beam.

    Get saving
  • You might be right...my old Smarts are dim and wobble so much it's like being in a disco. I just wanted to do it on the cheap!
