Mudslinger, I'm riding this saturday after my son's climbing. If you want to meet up let me know - choice of Ashenground, Wivelsfield station or Wivelsfield Green parish hall car park, anytime after 12 suits.

Ian, For Sunday week I'll get Lisa to put an entry in the muddyar$e diary. A lot depends on the weather but will be longer than last time and cover some new ground.
  • Sat afternoon is good for me. I've got to take the wife & kids to HH station at 1pm so I'm free after that.

I can meet you at Ashenground or Wivelsfield. Where are you thinking of going?

Yes afternoon. Tempting to start at Ashenground and head out to Ansty then back via Ditchling common, should be reasonable mud free.

Hope you had a good ride.

I would have loved to but having had 3 visits to PRH then Brighton hospital to have a kidney stone surgically removed I wasn't up to it! I've got to go back in 2 weeks to have a stent removed so might be free on the 29/03 & then 19/04 onwards.

Ouch mudslinger that sounds painful. Hope it all goes well. Should you not be resting up a bit longer?
It was was a nice ride (18 miles) just me, Tony and Lisa (from sussex muddy@rse).
It got bit damp towards the end of the ride but nothing bad.
There is a sussex muddy@rse ride at Bedgbury on the 30th march I think Tony's going did you fancy coming. I'll be taking my kids taxi so theres room for another bike on the roof if you needed a lift.

    It was incredibly painful

I should probably take it easy for a bit longer so might not be out til 19/04. Thanks for the offer of a lift. Will let you know if things change!

If anyone local wants to stretch their legs, and learn a few new routes, then the plan for Saturday is for a 25 mile ride starting in Haywards Heath and heading West.

Mainly off road trail, some singletrack and with a few linking road sections.

    Meet for 1pm, Borde Hill.

    Hi Paul,

In fact the rides organised here are informal ones for Haywards Heath based people, the main Muddyar$e site is used to coordinate the monthly group rides.

Next one is May 30th so feel free to come along. Mudslayer, Lego and I get together occasionally to ride around the local area with a focus on finding new off road routes.

    Where abouts are you based?

    Tony
  • I am Based in Rodmell, Near Lewes.

Sorry for the delay, had a stag weekend in ansterdam to deal/recover with.

And i just got my new bike delivered, a brand spanking Scott Ransom 10 :D

I see Tony has renamed me as Mudslayer - I prefer that!

I dislocated my thumb 10 days ago. Had the splint removed today but it is still sore & no movement. I can't change gear which is a bit of a problem! I might be out of action for a few more weeks :(

Nice bit of kit you've bought yourself!
