Afabulous looking bike (but not as nice as the new Pinarello Prince imo),but some new ideas on there that a lot of manufacturers will copy eg the concealed bearings in the bb. If that bike had had deRosa/Colnago or some other italian make written on it, there would have been a shrine on here to the bikes glory. Since Discovery are winding up, we should see a lot less Treks on the road. They are the Ford Mondeo of road bikes, but they work well and are v.stable on descents and my old 5500 has left a lot of blingier bikes behind on various Alpine climbsM.Rushton0 -

Well so far so good rides very well, took a bit of getting used to the compact chainset thats comes as standard on the performace fit. The seat mast is great just need to be sure you have enough travel in it regardless of framesize, however trek are now supplying longer ones with varying reach.
Overall great buy, but then again i would say that.0 -
i've got that Trek photo on my desk at work. people keep asking me if it's my bike. i fecking wish!
maybe i should put a collection jar next to it. you never know, i might be able to afford it by 2010!_____________________________________________

 I hate to say it but the likes of Trek, Specialized et al got there Mojo workin' and are cheaper than a lot of European manufacturers!
Lot of Italian bikes your just paying for the heritage.
Just in case your wondering I've got a Colnago and a Specialized.I say what I like and I like what I say!0
