I've posted similar question to the road forum but it occurred to me perhaps the 29" mountain bikers will know better. I'm looking for a disk specific 700cm wheelset for touring/commuting. Could be only rims - why to pay more for rim brake surface if you are using disks - and there is plenty of good hubs. So far I've found only Sun-Ringle DS2 rims but no idea if they are any good or what the price is. Anybody?
Cheers

On-one's Reetard rims have a braking surface but I can vouch for their strength- (BIG lad!) and have been offered in the priceshaggers dept IIRC. Either way they are pretty cheap.
