Lets hope it's all contained this time and we don't get the sight of thousands of cows burning in a field.
I wonder how long it'll be before they start shutting bridleways.

Not long fella - why is it that we never learn from our mistakes in this country? i look forward to the Panorama investigation where they expose how livestock farming methods haven't changed at all since the last outbreak.

Can only hope it's quickly contained, there's a 3km exclusion zone and all the paths, bridalways etc are shut. I don't know whas happening in the 10km zone but as it's on my door step and I'm off out I'm sure I'll soon find out.

This is terrible news for farming that has already taken a hit due to the extnsive flooding.

Last time there were a lot of farms near me in yorkshire/durham that were closed even though they had no live stock just crops- they just happened to be near farms with beast.

A plus side for me was that I amanaged to get 2 KC registered Spaniel puppies, from a crufts regular breeder for £190 as she had been banned from moving them as puppies. They should have cost £400 each.

Well that's just peachy....I've been off roading in the 10km surveillance zone (just west of Aldershot) this morning and didn't even know about it!

Mind you I haven't switched on the radio or TV today.....
