Suspension fork for a Cannondale Bad Boy 650?

I have a question about adding a suspension fork on my Bad Boy 650. I know the Bad Boy is a road hybrid - many manufacturers claim their hybrids are MTB frames and can be taken off-road but it is not always as simple as that because of the frame geometry or that the frame simply can not take that amount of stress.

I am considering adding a suspension fork onto my bike to use it for casual XC riding, nothing heavy. I am not worried about the riding position as I do prefer a slightly longer top tube (this is my reason for buying a Bad Boy in the first place). My concern is would the longer fork put any stress on the frame where is it not designed to or if the longer less angular top tube/head tube would cause issues with the performance of the suspension?
