I am new to this forum and looking for some advice.
I'm looking for a new bike and have seen this Norco Torrent for £1000 in a local bike shop.
I had a quick ride on it and it felt good. It fits the way I want to ride pretty well.
I just wanted to know if people think it is a good buy?

Also it is a medium frame. Do you think this will be a problem? I am just under 6ft tall.

Thank you in advance for any comments.

You do realise that bike is a freeride hardtail? It will be a bit heavy...
I'm just saying this because it's your first post and don't know if you're aware of that kind of stuff. Sorry if I'm being judgemental

It's a good bike for the money, even more considering the price you're getting, and seems very reliable. M size will probably be ok if it felt right during your test ride, since it usually fits riders up to your height.
  • Sorry, I did not specify.
I do quite a bit of jumping and some freeriding on an old saracen x-ile. It really isn't suitable for how i ride now and can be quite uncomfortable in some situations. I'm looking to do more heavy freeriding and need a bike that will suit me. Also i have managed to break the bb on the Saracen and just cant get it out so it is now practically unusable.

Just go ahead and buy it than. It's not easy to get that good deals and the bike doesn't have any bad parts whatsoever. Go ride and enjoy the summer while you can

It's an awsome bike, strong as hell :D It's got an awsome spec, eventually you might end up wanting only one chainring on the front so you'll need a chain guide, might I suggest E13 SRS/LG1
