I know this is Cake Stop and we don't usually have bike stuff here
and it's Walmart I know, but they do own ASDA

    I think Diamondback made a carbon/alu frame back in the early nineties which had similar welds (the carbon was in the middle of the tubes, the alu acted a bit like lugs).

    I'm very suspicious of that one though, the finishing kit suggests that the frame probably won't be that good!

    By using the term "shipping weight", they are probably including the packaging. For the bike itself, I'd say a good deal of the weight looks like being in the wheelset and the forks.

    And lLooking at the zoomed-in picture, there's precious little carbon on that frame - about half the length of the front triangle tubes consists of aluminium. :lol:
